ATH Prevention and Care of Emergency Medical Conditions This course will teach athletic training students recognition, evaluation, and treatment of emergent medical conditiions. This will include basic skills required for injury prevention, treatment and recovery as it relates to physically active populations. Focus includes clinical decision making and evidence based utilization of modalities in pain modulation and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. Techniques and skills provided in both classroom and lab experiences will address range of motion, strengthening, proprioception, cardiovascular fitness, joint-specific and sport specific protocols.
